3 Week Yoga Retreat Day 3

Today’s Yoga workout:  Balance!  I found this one very meaningful as I was concentrating on my poses.  Life really is all about that balance – especially as a mom.  I find I am always working on my balance.  Some days are better than others.

I am very excited about this new chapter with the ultimate reset and yoga practice.  It is really making me take pause and reflect on what I am doing.   Last night as I was reading through the ultimate reset program guide and what’s ahead for the next 21 days I realized how happy I am to be doing this and how much I needed to do this!  You see as a mom of 4, eating was never my focus for myself – it was always about the kids.  I realized that I have created some bad habits.  Yes, I have been learning more and more over the last year and half about how much nutrition effects the way I feel, but I think I was forgetting about the experience of eating.  Since I became a mom eating was about the quick on the go, let’s get it done kind of thing.  At dinner, yes we sit as a family, but during the week I find that I am eating very quickly because I want to clean up and just be done with being in the kitchen for the day.  I am forgetting how important it is to enjoy my food, take my time chewing.  Where am I really rushing off to anyway?  Will the kitchen get cleaned up?  Yes!  It’s not like I have toddlers anymore that still need a bath and a bedtime story!  I am grateful to have this time to really focus on myself.  No, I’m not going away to a spa for 3 weeks, but I will be working on taking better care of me and my family will be able to watch me do it!  How cool is that?  I know there will be days that I struggle and it won’t be easy, but I do believe it is worth it.  #feelingblessed #noexcuses
